Ugandan socialite Shanitah Namuyimbwa, popularly known as Bad Black, has sparked widespread reactions on social media following her recent Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL) surgery and a series of controversial remarks about God.
Bad Black recently underwent the cosmetic procedure at TMR International Hospital in Nalya. Following the successful surgery, she publicly thanked Dr. Martin and the medical team for helping her achieve the body shape she had always desired.
During a lighthearted conversation with journalist and social media personality Kasuku, Bad Black made comments that many viewers have interpreted as mocking or criticizing God over the way she was naturally created.
In the humorous prayer that she made while still in the hospital, she praised human skills and techenology
has made it possible for people to change aspects of their appearance instead of waiting for miracles.
"Lord, there are some things we no longer ask You for because You gave us knowledgeable doctors—doctors who can modify us from the way You created us. Once upon a time, You created me without hips and without a big bum. You created me looking funny like a kangaroo. But right now, I have the dream body You never granted me."
She continued by thanking God for giving her life and for blessing doctors with the knowledge and skills to perform cosmetic procedures.
"Thank You for giving us this opportunity. If You did not give us the body figures we wanted, we can now modify ourselves. I don't think God remembered me because He created me a dark-skinned woman."
Bad Black went on to express that she had never been fully satisfied with her natural appearance and credited cosmetic surgery for giving her the confidence she had long desired.
"I wanted to tell God that I never liked the way He created me. I have not been happy all these years, but now I am happy because He created Dr. Martin, who gave me the big bum I always wanted."
Her remarks quickly attracted mixed reactions online. While some social media users viewed the statements as humorous and simply a celebration of cosmetic surgery, others criticized them as disrespectful and blasphemous, arguing that they mocked God and undermined religious beliefs.
Following the procedure, Bad Black revealed that she will remain under medical supervision for approximately six weeks to allow for proper healing before returning to her normal daily activities.
This is not her first cosmetic procedure. A few years ago, she underwent a tummy tuck and has openly expressed interest in having breast enhancement surgery in the future to achieve her desired body shape.
Bad Black has remained one of Uganda's most talked-about socialites, frequently making headlines for her outspoken personality, lifestyle, and candid opinions.
